feeling like being honest with you, dear reader.

I am. I am lazy. Sometimes I think I may do all this blogging stuff just so I don't have to fold laundry. Or clean out my car. Or unload the dishwasher. Or feed the dog. Please don't tell the Hubs. Don't tell him that I spray Lysol around just before he gets home, either. He thinks I've been cleaning...(insert evil snicker here).

If you're lazy, I mean awesome, like I am...this is the lunch for you. I made spaghetti for dinner last night and we had a lot of leftover noodles, but no more sauce.  How about a lazy mom leftover makeover?  Take the noodles, squeeze on the ranch dressing, chop up some cold cuts, chuck in some frozen peas and top with grated parmesean cheese. A Babybel cheese, sugar snap peas with a side of ranch and some crunchy mini toast slices adorn their lunches. I say lazy, they say "YUM!"

This is a ten minutes or less lunch for sure. And I made two lunches in that little time. Takes longer to clean up the kitchen. Which I still have to do...but I'd rather force you to have more words to read. Check out some more lazy, I mean quick, lunches over at Bentos on the Bayou 15 Minute Fridays.  Each Friday there's a post that bloggers can link their quick lunches to...tons of awesome ideas.

Bentos on the Bayou
I swear...EasyLunchboxes and PlanetBox make these lazy lunches look spectacular.  Here's the same lunch as above in a PlanetBox Shuttle:

feeling a little experimental

I decided to experiment cutting the carrots differently.  Sometimes a little switch in shape and thickness can help my semi picky eater try something again.  Our PlanetBox Shuttle is the perfect size for this lunch. Using the Lunch Punch puzzle shaped cutter, I swapped around a whole wheat and white bread turkey sandwich to make it appealing. In the dip cup there's homemade ranch dressing.

For the mini woman, in seventh grade, I stacked up a turkey and butter lettuce sandwich, pita chips, carrots and snap peas with a side of Sabra Classic Hummus.  It's all packed tightly in a Lunchbots Duo container. The Lunchbots box always seems to hold more than I expect.

feeling a little productive

Today is the first day off I've had in a while...no work. No husband. The kids are with the neighbors.

I made two fun lunches.

I've made and blogged a review of the PlanetBox Shuttle. Which coincidentally was my 100th blog post!!  Yay!!!

I made meatballs for our meatball subs tonight. Here's the Pinterest link: http://pinterest.com/pin/86483255317108122/

I made (boxed) blueberry muffins.  Not sure what went wrong, but the flavor is good.

I made refrigerator pickles with our homegrown cucumbers. Here's the link for that one: http://pinterest.com/pin/86483255317366012/

I've done laundry. Dishes. Cleaned up dog messes. Blogged some more. Goofed off on Facebook  https://www.facebook.com/FeelingALittleLunchy for a while. Who ever thinks you don't have time for things is sorely mistaken. It's only 1:15 and I'm ready to relax for the rest of the day...right after I vacuum and spray some Lysol about to trick the hubs into thinking I scoured the house.

I'm looking forward to school starting in a couple of weeks. I miss the routine and opportunity to create!

feeling a little PlanetBox envy

I finally got a PlanetBox!!  They were so generous to send me a PlanetBox Shuttle to review. It's a really cool addition to our lunchbox collection!  This is a smaller box, good for small lunches or snacks, or in this case, breakfast. This meal contains grapes, pineapples in the small circular container (which comes with a lid), and a chocolate rice cake topped with strawberry cream cheese and some candy eyes.  A mustache ring completes the fun!

The box is stainless steel, dishwasher safe and came with a really cool set of magnets and a matching thermal bag.  The magnets are not dishwasher safe, so don't forget to remove them when you're cleaning your shuttle!  This box is deeper than I had expected and could definitely hold more food than I used. I love the smaller bag, which will also be good to hold a few bottles of water and a flat mat ice pack for trips to the park or pool.

I love the designs on this set. They have many to choose from, but this one is perfect for my older kids...and myself!

I've been coveting my lunchy friends PlanetBox lunch boxes for a long time...I plan on getting the larger Rover and maybe the Launch sometime soon.  Check out some very amazing PlanetBox creations:
