feeling a little stamped

I've been hanging on to this wonderful idea from Bent On Better Lunches for a while now. She amazed us all with her beautiful Winnie the Pooh rubber stamped lunch and I couldn't wait to try it out. It's rather simple...just grab a rubber stamp, ink it up with your food coloring pens and stamp your food. Cheese would probably work best, but I had quesadillas in mind for today's lunch. It worked, mostly, but I think it would have worked better with a single color because the ink dried a little. I had to go back and touch it up a little to get a clearer owl print. Isn't it cute?  Hopefully the wild child will think so!  And special thanks to AllThingsforSale for the adorable little forest food picks that accent this lunch so well.  I really love the little squirrel.  They are quite small, so if you have little ones, they may not be the best to use...wouldn't want anyone choking!  My girl is 10, so I'm pretty sure she can handle it.

Lunch today is a cheese quesadilla, grapes, tomatoes, an egg all in an easylunchboxes container.

feeling like spring break

I know...spring break is almost over. I haven't made lunches in a week, so I felt like making a fun one today. (Honestly, I'm avoiding laundry again...) We went to visit my mother in Destin, Florida. It's beautiful down there. She spoiled us rotten, we sat on the beach, went shopping and had a great girls vacation. Poor husband had to work...

The people on the beach rallied together to make that giant sea turtle sand sculpture. It was amazing! My girls helped out, too. At one point there were about 20 people all working together. Rather cool.

Today's lunch is a panda rice ball with nori accents (made with our AllThingsforSale panda mold), sliced cheese sticks, fruit leather (organic from Target) cut into letters and trail mix all served in a Lunchbots Duo. Love our Lunchbots!

feeling a little bento love

I'm loving AllThingsforSale. The panda rice mold is the easiest thing to use and has a huge cute factor!  All items, except for the little fork, can be found on their website.  This lunch has rice molded pandas with nori accents, purple pasta with olives, blanched broccoli and dried pineapples.
